A history of diversity and inclusion
The Professional Road Safety Association (PRSA) was founded in the United States in 1912 by Dr. John H. Watson, who was also the president of a group called the League for the Promotion of Highway Safety. In Ireland, PRSA Ireland was formed in 2011 and has grown to become one of Europe’s largest professional associations for communications professionals working in road safety.
As well as offering members access to shared resources related to road safety and driver training, it provides opportunities for networking with other professionals involved in this field locally or internationally through its meetings & events programme which include conferences held around Ireland every two years; workshops on topics such as automated enforcement systems; resource packs covering best practice across all areas within our sector including media relations/public relations strategy development support services etc.; access via website dashboard portal where members can view their own profiles published online under “my account”.
Achieving professional accreditation through Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD is a way to keep your skills up to date, so that you can continue to provide excellent service. The most common way of achieving CPD is through continuing education credits and qualifications.
There are many ways in which PRSA members can achieve CPD, including:
- attending conferences or seminars;
- reading books on a particular subject area;
- undertaking online courses (for example, through study.com).
PRSA membership is open to all communicators regardless of their specialism.
PRSA membership is open to all communicators regardless of their specialism. The organization welcomes anyone who uses communication skills in any capacity, from journalists to graphic designers and from PR professionals to those with marketing backgrounds.
PRSA Pension members come from varied backgrounds and have different interests, but it’s their shared commitment to helping each other that makes PRSA such a unique network: no matter what your role in the communications industry, you’ll find something here that speaks directly to you—and vice versa!
