Escape Room (2019)
Six people from very different backgrounds are lured to an escape room. The game becomes a battle for survival, and what started out as a chance to win a prize quickly turns into a race for survival. There’s a good chance that no one will escape with their lives as the contestants go down one after another.
This movie was compared to the Saw franchise in terms of its style and tone. Escape Room is distinguished by its big-budget presentation and thematic presentation.
Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
To seal their home, the Warrens bring Annabelle, a ghost doll. The doll’s spirit, however, has other plans and begins to haunt the Warrens. She and her friends must survive in order to defeat the ghost, who won’t stop until they die.
Although it is generally accepted that The Conjuring films do better than Annabelle films in general, this film blends both. Annabelle is a play on the cat-and mouse game Saw fans love, despite its resemblance with Billy the puppet from Saw. The movie on its own is enjoyable and keeps tension high.

A group of strangers awakens in a room which is part of a cube-shaped structure that contains deadly traps. They attempt to find their way out of the cube-like structure, but it soon becomes apparent that they have a connection. One of them even reveals their darkest intentions.
This horror film has stood the test of time and is now a classic. __S.20__ Cube has a far more creepy style. The film’s environment is so claustrophobic, even the viewer, that it makes them feel trapped.
Vacancy (2007)
A couple who are married takes an errand that leads them to a motel located in the middle of nowhere. The couple are forced to stay the night and soon find themselves in an unpleasant situation as the motel staff turns out to be murderers who have made them their latest target.
Although it might not be on the top Kate Beckinsale movies, Vacancy may have her most heroic role yet. Luke Evans and she carry this low-key horror in which the panic and uncertainty at the motel will make even See fans question the evil plans of the bad guys.
Final Destination 5 (2011)
One man experiences a premonition which foretells his own death and that of dozens of other people. He is able to avoid this fateful event but he discovers that death itself is out to take the lives of those who survived. The protagonist race against the clock to save himself as people die in horrific ways.
This series has so many kills that it has its own article ranking them. Final Destination will appeal Saw lovers because the idea that death plots the demise for the main characters has an almost Jigsaw-like feel to it. This film is also one of the most intelligent in the Final Destination series. Its ending is a game-changer.
Misery (1990).
A writer is involved in a car accident in a rural area. His savior turns to be a fan obsessed with psychosis who won’t let him go. Misery was the film that won Kathy Bates an Oscar. It features just two actors, but the movie’s minimalist setting makes Horror scary. The antagonist is playing mind games with her captive as she demands that he write her a book while torturing him. The film is also cat-and mouse-style, with the protagonist trying to find a way out. It ends in a brutal and violent fight for survival.
Untraceable (2008)
Want to see the extremes of social media fame and internet fame? Untraceable reveals the terrible consequences of this story about a young killer obsessed with getting viewers. He murders his victims in many ways and broadcasts it live via the internet.
Saw has traps that it uses to make its point; Untraceable, on the other hand, is a trap-based movie with traps that are more creative as the antagonist plays with the police. You won’t be able to sleep at night as the kills get quite disturbing.
Hostel (2005)
It’s not the movie for the thinking man. All the entertainment is right in front of your eyes. Hostel can be difficult to watch. It’s so brutal that even horror-lovers will likely turn away. Two young men stumble upon a European town and their attempt at debauchery turns horrifying when they discover themselves in a torture chamber. Hostel is brutal in its violence. You’ll see blood, hear loud screams and feel like you are going to vomit on several occasions. If you’re looking for extreme gore, this is the place for you.
The Strangers (2008)
Three masked killers stalk a young couple who return home to face their fears. It is a desperate struggle to survive against the antagonists. The Strangers is a straightforward story with a clear premise. However, the antagonists are not revealed to the audience and are only interested in hunting down the main characters. Although there will be blood when it is needed, you won’t have to worry about what the villains might do next.
