These homemade McGriddles include protein pancakes made with four ingredients. buns, eggs folded in and your choice of healthier options such as chicken breakfast sausage. This recipe is simple with an average of 25 minutes to prepare and only 5 ingredients and is highly adaptable. I’ll guide you through the recipe in the following paragraphs and answer the modifications we make while we’re at it.

Recipe #1

INGREDIENTS

Half cup of maple syrup

1 . A pancake batter batch

4 eggs

4 strips of bacon, cooked and cut into half (or 4 sausage cooked pork patties)

4 pieces American cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Before beginning the maple sugar process, cover a baking tray using parchment or silpat, if you already have one. Set aside.

Pour the syrup into the pot of a small size and place on medium heat. Bring it to a boil and stir often. As soon as it starts boiling in a large amount, ensure you continue stirring to prevent it from sticking to the pot.

After about a minute, you can check the temperature, if you’re using an thermometer. If the syrup is around 230oF, it’ll begin to “calm down” and be less terrifyingly similar to lava. You will notice that it becomes slightly darker and.

After two-three minutes: Once it’s become dark, and you’re able to detect the faint aroma of caramel and you can remove it from the stove. The temperature should be at 265oF using an thermometer.

Pour the maple syrup onto the baking sheet lined with parchment and spread it out thinly. DO NOT TOUCH IT. It’s as hot as molten lead (almost). It should it cool. Place it in the refrigerator for those who are in a hurry. After it’s cooled you can tear off the paper in pieces and break it down by smashing it in a way.

Phew. This is done. The next step is to make pancakes. Make one portion of the pancakes I have made or any other recipe that will produce 8 4″‘ pancakes.

When you’re making use of round moulds to make your pancakes make sure to grease the insides of the molds with a bit of butter. Heat your griddle over medium heat until hot. Spread butter on it, and then place the pancake molds in as many ways as you can onto the grid.

Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into each, and then cover with a few crystals of maple and then pour another 2 tablespoons of batter on top. It is important to put the crystals between the pancakes to make sure that maple sugar doesn’t get stuck on your griddle and making it a hassle.

Cook until bubbles form around the edges. The cake’s edges appear cooked. Remove the rings using tongs and turn the cakes over. Cook an additional 1-2 mins or until cooked.

Then top it off with a slice cheese scrambled or fried eggs and bacon or sausage and a second pancake.

Take a bite now! You can also cool it and freeze it to keep it in the freezer for rainy days.

Recipe #2

Ingredients

1 C (120g) Bisquick or Pancake Mix*

One scoop (31g) Vanilla PEScience Select Protein Powder

3/4 C (180g) Skim Milk (or your preferred milk)

1 tsp Maple Extract (optional)

4 Eggs large whisked

Instructions

Make a mixture of the pancake mix and protein powder before adding the maple extract. Stir until there are no dry ingredients remain.

A larger skillet or the griddle on medium-high heat and spray cooking. Once it’s hot, add 2 Tbsp of pancake batter in 8 smaller circles. You may need to cook two batches. When the pan is brown, then flip and cook for 60 to 90 seconds more.

To whisk the eggs, mix an egg in the bowl of a small size. In a saucepan, heat it to medium-low heat , using cooking spray. Pour the egg in and swirl the pan around to evenly distribute the egg throughout the pan. When the edges are cooked (10-15 minutes) Use a spatula made of rubber and fold the one side in the middle. The other half is folded over the top layer, creating a rectangle that is placed in the middle of the dish. Fold the one edge of the rectangle into the middle and then another making the shape of a square. Repeat for all 4 eggs. Cook 2 eggs in one go and then cut them in half for less time.

Gather and have fun!

EGGS

1. Scramble 2 eggs using one teaspoon of salt from kosher and pepper.

PANCAKES

1. Mix baking powder, flour with cinnamon and baking powder in one large bowl.

3. Gradually mix the wet ingredients with dry ingredients by using either a spatula or spoon. Mix until the mix is barely blended and it is crucial not to overmix, and some places that are dry are fine. The mix should sit for around 10 minutes.

4. Spray the pan with cooking spray, then pour batter into the hot skillet using a 1/4-c measuring cup. It’s a more dense mix than the ones in the boxes I like to make sure to spread the batter out slightly using the top of my measuring cup to make about 5 inch round pancakes.
