The Prestige

The Prestige is one of the best works of director Christopher Nolan (who also directed Memento and Inception). The story centers around two rival magicians who become fierce competitors. They try to sabotage their rivals’ performances on stage. When one of them performs the ultimate illusion, the other digs deep to uncover the secret, which has unexpected consequences. They become murderers through their intense rivalry, putting lives at risk. Everything seems random until the final few minutes, when it all starts to fall into place. The Prestige may agitate, but it will be a joy.

Fight Club

You get the impression that this movie is about fighting. It is about fighting, to a certain extent. But it also has many other things. Fight Club revolves around brawls, sex, and tons of confusing drama. You’ll miss the point if you focus only on the violence.

Although I won’t reveal the plot, I will say this: the movie has a shocking twist at the end that will make you want more.

Although it’s dark and disturbing, it is also very stylish and intelligent. It will amaze you with its attention to detail and hidden clues. Go watch it now if you haven’t. If you have already seen it, go back and watch it with your smart friends. You might be surprised at what they can point out that you didn’t know.

The Fountain

The story’s premise is simple. A man desperately tries to save his wife. That’s the end of simplicity.

The story is told in three times: past, future and future. These three stories are interwoven and represent the pursuit of one man. Are you confused? It’s okay to be confused.

The Fountain is a Chinese puzzle that you have to solve yourself.

Inception

Dom Cobb and his team are operatives that enter people’s subconscious to steal their ideas. Their latest mission is to plant an idea in someone’s brain instead of taking it. The victim must believe that the idea was his own.

There is one problem: if they get too deep into their thoughts, they run the risk of getting stuck in the dream world without ever being able to return. How far can they go knowing all these risks? They run the risk of never getting up again no matter how deep they go.

Although Inception isn’t perfect, it’s a brave and ambitious film. You don’t need to worry about spoilers and plot details. You won’t be able to understand everything if you only watch it once. However, it’s worth watching several times. It is only natural that you would want more after the credits roll. It doesn’t take much to make a good movie. Here are some movies that are similar to Inception.

Source Code

Source Code isn’t like many movies that waste time getting to the point. It’s almost as if there isn’t an opening. The movie just starts from the first minute. There is no need to waste twenty minutes setting up the plot.

Colter Stevens, a US pilot, wakes up on a commuter train bound to Chicago. He thinks the woman sitting across him is his boyfriend. However, he doesn’t know who she is nor how he got there. He is overwhelmed and decides to go to the toilet to get some perspective. But he discovers that he can see another man’s face in his bathroom mirror. He is apparently a mirror image of someone else. He doesn’t remember the crash of his plane in Afghanistan. This is a dream or a nightmare? As secrets are revealed, things get more confusing and fascinating.

The Game

What can you give a man who has it all? What is a great birthday gift for someone like this? This is the Game’s attempt to answer this question.

This story is about a middle-aged, rich man who has everything he could ever want, but at a price. He is isolated from the rest. His brother attempts to change his life by giving him a live action game. But things quickly go sour as strange and bizarre things begin to happen. This game eventually takes over his life.

It’s a sort of brain-teaser. Although you only have two hours to solve this puzzle, if you’re anything like me, it is unlikely that you will be able to put the pieces together until the last movement. The solution will be revealed to you if you don’t give up.

The Game will entertain you, regardless of your feelings about it.

Donnie Darko

An error has created a parallel universe, which could lead to the end of the real one. Donnie, a troubled teenager boy, is vested with all the power necessary to complete the task. He can break the rules and save the real world by creating his own world.

Donnie Darko is who? What kind of name could that be? Perhaps he’s a superhero. Perhaps he is like us. He could be brilliant or insane. What is real? This film will make you want to answer all of these questions for yourself.

I felt defeated and overwhelmed at the end of the film. It was overwhelming. To understand the message, I had to see it several times. You’ll likely have to see this movie multiple times to understand what’s happening. And you’ll enjoy it even more each time.
